expatriate jobs

My cousin Evan will be living his own life in Paris next year and I advised him that living abroad and finding a house to stay is the first thing he should think about and finding for expatriate jobs is the next one. Though I said this to him many times he still feels nervous about his moving out. Can anyone give some more tips and advices that would help my cousin feel comfortable? I would really appreciate your opinion guys. Thanks a lot.
